- TASTING NOTE / ABOUT THE WINE: 100% Petit Verdot from the dry and warm 2022 vintage that saw the Petit Verdot ripen fully on the Cherubino Bordeaux block ‘Riversdale South’. Fruit was hand-harvested late April and macerated on skins for 6 weeks before maturation in used French oak for 10 months. The vintage and gentle handling has resulted in a sublimely graceful Petit Verdot, with perfectly balanced rich fresh and dried red berry/cherry notes along with dried floral and forest floor character. Just like in Bordeaux the varietal is planted in minority, so this bottling is very limited, and is obviously going to develop into an exquisite expression over 10 years.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Larry Cherubino was once the head winemaker at Western Australia's pioneering Houghton winery and went onto travel the world as a consultant, working in New Zealand, USA, France, Italy and South Africa. He and his wife Edwina purchased there first parcel of land in Frankland River in 2004 which became his home vineyard, Riversdale. Today they produce wine from our around the state, producing a unique range of wines at all price points and utilizing different production techniques. All of the Cherubino vineyards are managed sustainably with no use of herbicides. Larry also collaborates with the famed Piedmont producer La Spinetta on a range of outstanding Italian wines.

A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
