- TASTING NOTE: Aromas of white flowers and ginger snap, toasty almond and nougat with a lift of fresh orange blossom. The palate is dry and fresh with notes of white stone fruit and toasted nuts, a chalky, textural mouthfeel and a touch of minerality and green apple acidity. This wine exudes elegance with a long, silky finish.
- ABOUT THE WINE: 100% whole bunch pressed to new and used French oak puncheons. Wild fermented then sulphured after primary fermentation to avoid malolactic fermentation. Aged on gross lees for up to 8 months before being getting ready for bottle.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Millbrook is a boutique winery and acclaimed restaurant in the historic town of Jarrahdale in the Perth Hills wine region of Western Australia – 50 minutes south-east of the capital Perth. The winery is located at picturesque Chestnut Farm, nestled among jarrah forests with stunning vistas of the rolling landscape. The origins of Chestnut Farm date back to the 19th century when the original owner, Joseph Batt, planted an orchard and grapevines in 1865. Batt’s winemaking landed him in the Supreme Court where he was fined for selling wine from the premises without a colonial licence. In1996 Peter and Lee Fogarty, together with their three teenage children, planted the first Millbrook vines at Chestnut Farm – a true labour of love. Further plantings included Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc with a focus on Shiraz and Viognier. Peter had long admired the Northern Rhône style of Shiraz Viognier and after finding it difficult to source in Western Australia set out to produce his own. It is now one of Millbrook’s flagship wines. Today the vineyard comprises a mix of plantings, including alternative varieties, with 8 hectares under vine.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
