- TASTING NOTE: Now starting its tantalising transition towards secondary development, this wine’s exuberant youth is beginning to give way to a richness and complexity that only comes with age. The bouquet’s previously zesty and bright notes of citrus and pear are superseded by aromas of preserved lemon, lanolin, burnt orange, baked apple, apricot tart and beeswax. The palate reveals an appealing interplay of soft, supple texture, minerality, fruit weight, and persistent, yet balanced acidity. Delicious as it is now, there is still plenty more to be revealed as this wine continues to evolve and integrate over time.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Fruit for this wine is primarily form the Mount Barrow vineyard in the Mount Barker sub-region. Vinified solely in stainless steel.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Howard Park produces wine in both the Margaret River and Great Southern wine regions of Western Australia. Originally founded in 1986 by winemaker John Wade, it now falls under the banner of the Burch Family wine group which includes the Mad Fish, Marchand & Burch and Jete wine brands. With over 30 years experience the viticultural team has grown an intimate, exhaustive knowledge of vines in these areas, culminating in the careful acquisition and development of four properties – Leston and Allingham in Margaret River, and Mount Barrow and Abercrombie in the Great Southern. Leston is now home to all winery operations, including the architecturally-acclaimed cellar door, built in 2000.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
