- TASTING NOTE / ABOUT THE WINE: A northern Spanish inspired, multi-site Great Southern blend of Shiraz and Tempranillo. Offers up aromatics of cherry cola, marzipan, mulberry and black pepper, flowing through to a medium bodied, rustic palate of fleshy black plum and cherry. Finishes with a subtle earthiness and dusty tannin.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: A childhood rich in Cat Stevens, Greek family traditions, and watching his father watch the world go by are the nostalgic foundations of Chalari Wines. From the Perth Hills to Mt Barker, Alexi followed his love of wine to the Great Southern, and never looked back. Pressing the first two tonnes of Frankland River Riesling at his home in Roleystone, all by hand and without a forklift in sight, it was the beginning of the end. He was hooked on wine.
These days, Alexi calls Mt Barker in the Great Southern wine region home. The shed is bigger, the kids are older, but the wine is just as bold as that first fateful garage vintage. Sourcing fruit from around Western Australia, he deftly picks his parcels and bottles up a mix of traditional, lo-fi, and downright experimental pours.

Pickup is available during our opening hours:

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
