- TASTING NOTE: Dense and deep but with lovely freshness. Dark red berries, herbs and chocolate notes balanced with lush tannin. Perfect winter wine.
- ABOUT THE WINE: A black grape native to northeast Italy, Refosco is a grape of genuine character. The fruit for this wine cam from the iconic Chalmer's vineyard in Mildura. The majority of fruit was fermented as whole bunches before being pressed to old French old barrique for maturation on lees. Bottled with minimal sulphur added.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Wine maker Kevin McCarthy's introduction to Mildura was the early 1990s, looking for fruit to make up for a poor Mornington vintage at his Mornington Peninsula winery Quealy. Here he found a second home, amongst Italian varietal pioneers. MDI (Murray Darling Italian) presents a different story about Mildura fruit. Born from Kev's decades of experience (and success) in the region, the brand champions it's local growers, esoteric European varieties, and traditional, sustainable winemaking methods.

Pickup is available during our opening hours:
Tuesday - Saturday: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Sundays, Mondays & Public Holidays: Closed
Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
