- TASTING NOTE: A powerful, heady wine with ripe, almost syrupy red fruit aromatics. The palate show tremendous concentration with notes of chocolate, tar and prune. It is all wrapped in smokey supporting oak and finishes long, smooth and rich.
- ABOUT THE WINE: After a careful selection of the best, ripest fruit from the estate the grapes are naturally dried for about 4 months. By the time grapes are ready to be pressed, they have lost 40% of their original weight and the sugar content in the grapes have increased by 30%. Aged for about 30 months in large Slavonian oak cask, followed by 6 months in the bottle for the final ageing process. If well maintained, the wine can be enjoyed for over 15 years.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The Scamperle family has been making wine in Valpolicella since the mid 19th century. Today the family owns twenty cultivated hectares, situated among the most renowned places of the Valpolicella Classica DOC, with the type of grapes grown being the most classical varieties of the region: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta, Molinara, and Croatina.

Pickup is available during our opening hours:

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
