- ABOUT THE WINE: Parcels of Pinot Noir clones 777, 114 and D5V12 were fermented separately with small inclusions of whole berry and whole cluster. Matured for 11 months in 500L French oak puncheons (15% new) with minimal intervention prior to bottling.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Ossa is one of the most exciting recent projects in Tasmanian wine. Drawing its name from Tasmania's highest peak - Mount Ossa - it represents a small range of distinguished wines sourced from some of Tasmania's finest vineyards. Ossa began with Rod and Cecile Roberts' establishment of their Belbrook farm on the Island's East Coast. Rod had his eye on the property from earlier agri-business days and knew it's easterly aspect and ironstone/sandstone soils would be ideal for high quality viticulture. The family embarked on planting a 20-hectare vineyard to a mix of varieties - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. Committed to sustainability, land at Belbrook has been extensively renovated including removal of noxious plant species, fencing wildlife zones and cleaning waterways. The farm is run exclusively on solar power and they are working towards organic management.
While two wines are already being partly sourced from the new Belbrook vineyard, Ossa's ambitious raison d'etre to produce Tasmania's most distinguished wines dictated that they search for parcels of the best fruit available to buy. This is facilitated through the Ossa winemaker - Liam McElhinney - the current head winemaker at Tasmanian Vintners. Through his connections he is able to identify and redirect tiny amounts of exceptional fruit from some of Tasmania's finest and oldest vineyard sites.

A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
