- TASTING NOTE: Showing exceptional depth and length with plenty of ripe, sapid red fruits. The nose is attractive: the strawberry, raspberry and cranberry fruit have an earthy-twiggy depth, with a hint of cinnamon spice too. The tannins are fine and silky, and the lively acidity infuses the fruit on the palate with a pleasant juiciness.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Handpicked fruit from a single site in Pommard with average vine age of 70 years, with some vines at 95 years old!. Natural ferment with elevage in mostly older French oak. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Nico Potel is a Burgundian local whose family once owned the eponymous estate Domaine de la Pousse d’Or in Volnay. He started his own Domaine when he purchased vineyards in Beaune and began producing wines under the Bellene label in 2008. Holdings in Nuit-St-Georges, Vosne-Romanee and St-Romain have been added since. Farming is organic and Potel ferments his reds with a portion of stems for up to a month, with the whites made in demi-muids with no lees stirring.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
