- TASTING NOTE: There's cut and drive to this wine, more than you might expect from the Adelaide Hills. A touch of smoke opens into layers of ripe, juicy stone fruits and pithy citrus. The acid line is persistent and the oak is discreetly handled. A great wine with food and with ageing potential at a great price.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Hand picked on the 19th and 30th March from Lobethal and Piccadilly in the Adelaide Hills, pressed to French oak puncheons (35% new), 65% malolactic, 11 months on yeast lees, filtered and bottled.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Michael Hall is an English former jewellery valuer, who fell in love with wines while building his first career in Europe in the 80's and 90's. His second career began with a change of scenery, making the move from Europe to South Australia to study wine science at Charles Sturt University, where he graduated as dux in 2005. He has worked stints in Australia with Cullen, Giaconda, Henschke, Shaw + Smith and Coldstream Hills and in France with Domaine Leflaive, Meo-Camuzet and Vieux Telegraphe. Today his micro-negoce sources fruit from the Barossa and Eden Valleys and the Adelaide Hills, producing a stunning range of single vineyard and regional wines. The expertise and dedication of the growers he works with is vital in producing outstanding fruit with an individual character, free from routine sprays and interventions. His philosophy in the winery is about crafting the wine with as few material inputs as possible - hand picking, maceration, wild yeasts, lees contact, barrel maturation and no filtration. Allowing the season and site to show themselves. Slow wine.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
