- TASTING NOTE: Lovely aromas of apricot, lavender and caramel ebb into bright flavors of lemon/lime, and a fresh, spicy finish with vanilla, clove and honeydew melon. The richness and texture are increasing in the bottle. We can’t wait to see this wine at 10 years of age.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Au Bon Climat started making “Nuits-Blanches” in 1996 when Jim Clendenen decided to show off the exceptional grape quality at his Bien Nacido Vineyard. Picked later, and kept in barrel longer than any other ABC Chardonnay the Nuits-Blanches style is richer and oakier than other ABC Chardonnays. The Nuits-Blanches is traditionally 90% Bien Nacido Vineyard “K” Block and 10% from the estate Le Bon Climat Vineyard. Aged for 18 months in new François Frères barrels, and bottled with no filtering.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: In 1982, Jim Clendenen decided, along with Adam Tolmach, to start a winery dedicated to Burgundian varietals in leased quarters. Adam left in 1990 to pursue his own efforts leaving Jim solo at the helm. Through careful re-investment from its own production, Au Bon Climat (which means "a well exposed vineyard") has grown to over 50,000 cases annually. Au Bon Climat sources fruit from several of the most highly regarded vineyards in the Central Coast. These include Clendenen’s own vineyards, Le Bon Climat and Rancho La Cuna, in addition to estate plantings at the legendary Bien Nacido Vineyard. The winery has cultivated an international reputation for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that are classically styled wines of balance, restraint and longevity.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
