- TASTING NOTE: Deep ruby/garnet hues are mirrored by aromas of bright sour cherry, cranberry skin, rosemary bush, milk chocolate and pencil shavings. A rich yet refined medium-bodied wine, it does not show an ounce of its 8 years. The palate promotes red berry compote, vanillin oak spice and blueberry tart complemented by a powerful fruit tenacity and perky, morish acidity. Drink now for a bright fruit forward drop or revisit in a few years for even more depth and development.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Small parcels from the Abercrombie vineyard are hand-picked and sorted. Fermentation occurred in closed stainless steel fermenters. Selected parcels remained on skins after fermentation to further enhance the tannin profile while others were pressed at dryness to capture fruit vibrancy. Each batch is matured separately in order to build a wine history over time. Barrel maturation - 18 months in 40% new and 60% older French oak barriques.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Howard Park produces wine in both the Margaret River and Great Southern wine regions of Western Australia. Originally founded in 1986 by winemaker John Wade, it now falls under the banner of the Burch Family wine group which includes the Mad Fish, Marchand & Burch and Jete wine brands. With over 30 years experience the viticultural team has grown an intimate, exhaustive knowledge of vines in these areas, culminating in the careful acquisition and development of four properties – Leston and Allingham in Margaret River, and Mount Barrow and Abercrombie in the Great Southern. Leston is now home to all winery operations, including the architecturally-acclaimed cellar door, built in 2000.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
