- TASTING NOTE: On the nose a lovely maturity with black fruits (blackcurrant, black cherry). The palate profile is soft, rich and smooth with developing Cabernet tannins, still firm but rounded. A lovely structured wine with a good tone on the finish.
- ABOUT THE WINE: The ‘second’ wine of the Chateau, this cuvee was first produced in 1986. Produced from a handpicked selection of younger vines (average age 15 years), the wines spends 12 months in French oak (25% new) before bottling.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Not to be confused with Chateau Latour in Medoc, Chateau LaTour-Martillac is a family owned estate in Pessac-Leognan in Graves. The estate has been in the hands of the Kressman family since 1930. Their top cuvee ‘LaTour-Martillac’ was served at the coronation of King George VI in 1936. The 50-hectare vineyard of Chateau Latour Martillac is planted to red and white wine Bordeaux varieties grapes. 40 hectares are planted for red wine and 10 hectares of vines are planted for white wine grapes. The white wine vineyards include some Semillon that is amongst the oldest in Bordeaux at 140 years old.

Pickup is available during our opening hours:
Tuesday - Saturday: 12:00pm - 9:00pm
Sundays, Mondays & Public Holidays: Closed
Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
