- TASTING NOTE: The bubbles are fine and the mousse persistent. The full nose, wonderfully expressive, gives off aromas of red fruits like freshly crushed wild raspberry, cherry and blackcurrant. On the palate, this wine strikes a fine balance of a velvet texture and full body taste. The flavours are reminiscent of fresh, crisp red fruits.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Produced from 70% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (of which a portion is still red wine made from Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims and Les Riceys) and 30% Chardonnay. The addition of the still red wine gives this rose is distinct, rich colour and vibrant intensity on the palate. The high proportion of Chardonnay in the blend brings the elegance and delicacy that underpin Taittinger’s signature style.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The Taittinger family has owned and managed this famous house of Champagne for most of the last century. It is now under the stewardship of Pierre Emmanuel Taittinger and his son Clovis and daughter Vitalie. Taittinger are the sixth biggest producer in Champagne with most of their plantings being in areas that favour Chardonnay. 288 hectares of estate-owned vineyards supply half of their fruit mostly in the Cotes des Blancs and Montagne de Reims. Not surprisingly then it is their Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc, Comtes de Champagne, produced from single vintages that are the most sought after of their releases.

A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
