- ABOUT THE WINE: The bush vine Grenache is dry grown and was established in the 1950’s by the Vino Italia family vineyard middle Swan. Cracking fruit, hand harvest by the family themselves and delivered to the Dormilona winery with love. Destemmed into opens and fermented on skins for up to 7 days. Light basket pressed straight to tank. Racked off heavy lees to bottle with a little dabble of sulphur.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: While working in Galicia, Jo Perry earned the name ‘Dormilona’, or ‘lazy bones’, for failing to keep up with her team’s fiesta lifestyle. In truth, she was exhausted from chasing early morning surf breaks—that, and spending tireless hours honing her craft. Perry has embraced the moniker ever since, despite her second-to-none work ethic leading a pioneering winery in Margaret River and winning the coveted Australian Young Gun of Wine award in 2016. Prior to establishing Dormilona in 2012, Perry’s thirst for knowledge and experience took her not only to Spain, but also France, America, New Zealand, across Eastern Australia and finally back to Margaret River. Nearly 20 vintages across the world have given Perry the clarity and confidence to allow her intuition to dictate her growing and winemaking. This natural and nurturing ethos allows the grapes and the place to speak clearly, and so minimal-intervention winemaking is key. Yokel is Jo's Swan Valley label, with profits of sales
going towards helping Yokel’s beloved mascot, the Western Swamp Tortoise. Native to Perth’s Swan Valley, WA’s Western Swamp Tortoise is also the most critically endangered reptile in Australia. The Yokel wines are sourced form old vineyards in the valley and made with same Ethos as the wines under the Dormilona flag.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
