- TASTING NOTE: Fine, precise, grapefruit scented Riesling. Mouth filling, with fleshy orchard fruits and racy, citrus flavours and a long finish. Outstanding drinking.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Estate-grown grapes from vineyards in Kallstadt, Ungstein and Freinsheim. Vineyard work - Buckwheat, radish and clover aerate the soil and attract useful animals. Horse dung fertilizes the soil naturally. Leaf plucking and low yields. Vinification - Hand harvested and whole-cluster pressed. Wild yeast fermented and aged on the lees in stainless steel.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Rings estate is based at Freinsheim in the Rheinpfalz and is run by two brothers, Steffen and Andreas Rings who, after taking over from their father in 2001, concentrated 100% on wine rather than the mix of vineyards and orchards, and decided to be totally quality driven. They currently have 28 hectares of vines which they are expanding and they have a total commitment to top quality. Plantings are split between red and white, and between Riesling and Pinot varieties. Their main vineyards are around Freinsheim, Kallstadt and Ungstein, including the famous Saumagen vineyard. Soils are mainly sandy, loess and gravel with chalk and clay and viticulture is organic. In the winery, natural yeast fermentations are favoured and both stainless steel and wood are used depending on the wine, with the top wines given extended ageing before release. They are widely recognised as one of the shooting stars of the German wine scene and were admitted to the prestigious VDP organisation in 2016.

Pickup is available during our opening hours:

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
